My university has a good research going on Search engines and my course Web Mining is all about scientifically chewing on the algorithms which Google use and which might be the future of search engines. I liked your blog because of the equality you have at the top of your blog. After studying several algorithms, I have found several problems with Google search like the similarpages feature. Google works on Page rank which is an algorithm completely based on link structure and ignores the content of the page. But surely Google has done a brilliant job and though there are other algos in the literature like the Klienberg (HITS) algorithm which might perform well, GOOGLE has taken over the world. I have some movie clips which portrays a scary picture what google might do with our daily lives.

Sorry for the extra long message, but this topic would turn anyone one.

Thanks
Abhang
