I thought this was a great presentation, a mix of what’s new in VS 2010, how Microsoft uses its own tools to develop the tools themselves (very meta), and how that development process influences the large and small decisions Microsoft has made about Visual Studio over the last few years.

Plus, I think Peter was very excited about the "scoop" he got regarding the performance issues in the VS 2010 beta. Short story: focusing on highly-controlled, small-scale testing of individual component performance obscures the problems that happen when a complex system gets used in the real world. There’s a lot to take away from that lesson alone.

Typically, your SSL certificate will contain the DNS name of the server. You can install the cert on another server if the DNS name isn't changing.

In our particular case, we use a wildcard SSL certificate, so we just had to install it on the new server.

Hope this helps

I have an almost identical situation.

Question: Does SSL need to be revoked and reissued for new server, or does Verisign treat it as same server since IP address is the same?
