If you are reading this, you have found your way to my new blog that I am calling "Bits o' Data". Before I get started with the technical content I thought I would give a little bit of information about myself.
I have been a consultant with Clarity Consulting (http://www.claritycon.com) in Chicago for 5 1/2 years. I have worked on a number of projects including Win Forms development, ASP.Net development, .Net Architecture and SQL Server development. I love working for Clarity and architecting and developing software for our clients and find each day to be a challenging and rewarding experience.
My main passion is SQL Server development, especially SQL 2005, which will be the main focus of this blog. I have also been spending a lot of time with Microsoft Team System and will definitely be blogging about my adventures there. Lastly, but not least is all the other technologies such as ASP.Net, C# and other general technologies that I will blog about. I may even throw in a gadget review here or there. So I will blog about a lot of different technical topics, hence the name of my blog “Bits o’ Data”.
From a non-technical standpoint, I will be posting events that are going on in the Southern California community, specifically the San Diego area. San Diego has a great technical community with a lot of great local events. I help run of the Special Events Committee for the San Diego .Net Users Group (http://www.sandiegodotnet.com), which means that I help organize the special events that we have such as Road Trips to Long Beach and Anaheim and the all-day Technical Summits. I am also part of the Steering Committee for the User Group, so if any of you are in San Diego area and have any feedback for the User Group, I look forward to hearing from you.
I hope you enjoy my blog and I look forward to your comments!
